Shannon works on analyzing organic/aqueous interfaces for analyte detection. She previously worked on growing organic phases on microring resonators for signal enhancement. She is currently working on using droplet microfluidics for optodic detection (droptodes) for environmental contaminants. She always is developing new labs for Bioanalytical undergraduate courses in order to improve real-world promise.
In her free time Shannon has been learning embroidery and doing crosswords.
